Food Craftsmanship FC 2023 Programme

Welcome to the Food Craftsmanship Finnish Championship competition in Rovaniemi on 17–19 October 2023! The event offers interesting programme for all local food lovers!

Please note that the programme below is preliminary. The content of the competition days, as well as the timetable and locations will be specified later.

Participation in the event requires registration which will be opened soon.

17.10 Tuesday

  • At 10–18 Product reception for the competition at Lapland University of Applied Sciences (Jokiväylä 11, 96300 Rovaniemi)
  • At 19–21: Evening meeting for entrepreneurs at the glass terrace of the Arctic Light Hotel (Valtakatu 18, 96200 Rovaniemi)

18.10 Wednesday

  • At approx. 8–18: Information for the jury and evaluation of the competing products
  • At 9–15: Food craftsmanship seminar
  • At approx. 10–16: Local food marketplace for the public + election of the best food craft casing

The evaluation of products, the food craftsmanship seminar and the local food marketplace are happening simultaneously at the Lapland UAS campus (Jokiväylä 11, 96300 Rovaniemi).

The local food market gathers together small entrepreneurs from the Arctic area. You can also find some of the competing products at sale at the market. This part of the event is open for the public and does not require registration from the customers.

On the seminar day, participants can buy lunch at the Lapland UAS campus restaurant.

19.10 Torstai

  • At 8–16: An excursion to the Rural Entrepreneurship Centre in Loue (Kätkävaarantie 69, 95340 Tervola)
  • At 18.30–00.30: Prize-giving ceremony

On the excursion day, there will be bus transportation from Rovaniemi to Loue and back. Participants can buy lunch from the Lappia campus restaurant.

A high class, local food dinner will be served at the prize-giving ceremony. The organizer will pay part of the dinner costs (the division of expenses will be specified later.) The dress code for the evening is lounge suit.
